The mantle is slightly raised into a rim (1) bearing caryophillidia around the rhinophore base.
The rhinophores are short, stout and usually conical with a translucent, whitish base, swollen anteriorly and posteriorly (2). The upper two thirds have about ten to fifteen close set lamellae, and a short nipple like apex (3). The lamellae often have dark brown speckling. Left and right lamellae meet at an anterior groove (4).
