All examined specimens from Orkney had pigment that varied from grey to brown-black; juveniles, like this, were usually paler than adults.
The anterior of the foot (1) is deeply bilaminate, lacking dorsal pigment in front of the opaque, white, ‘V’ shaped anterior pedal mucous gland (2).
