38 Acanthochitona fascicularis

Posterior pallial cavity/groove of a 42 mm long specimen. Dorset, England. April 2017.
The anus, positioned on a papilla 1, opens into the posterior of the mantle-cavity. A gonopore and a nephridiopore open by the base of a gill on each side into the posterior quarter of the mantle cavity. There is no penis as fertilization is external.
