12 Myosotella myosotis form denticulata.

The flesh of M. denticulata is often white or very pale whitish grey, as above, when from its typical habitat under stones on shores without salting vegetation. But those found on saltings in muddier conditions with M. myosotis have bodies as dark as that species; see image 13Md 13 Myosotella myosotis form denticulata. .
Colour of an individual varies with degree of extension and whether in air (right in image) or water (on left).
The tentacles on all forms are usually grey or greyish. The sides of the foot are paler than the dorsum of grey specimens.
