The shell height (1-1) is more than 40% of the body length and reaches a maximum of about 30 mm. The small spire of two whorls has a recessed apex (3) and the large aperture projects slightly beyond it (2). The exterior has many distinct growth lines and numerous, close-set, microscopic, longitudinal striae, most distinct near the spire, especially on iridescent areas (4).
