The body of D. dunnei is heavily mottled with red pigment. No subepidermal red or brown pigment in mesial face of cerata (4). Four concentric rings of rounded tubercles and partial fifth at base (5), can have up to six or seven. Each tubercle has a dark red to black apical spheroid and a few white granules (6).
