Juvenile Capellinia doriae are easily mistaken for E. exiguus because the cerata are singly arranged and the rings of white, little-globe tipped tubercles; ‘globetti bianchi’ (2) on surfaces of the cerata are weakly developed, but they may show truncated cones ‘coni tronchi’ (1) of the digestive gland within the cerata .
