19 Polycera quadrilineata COMPARISON Polycera norvegica

Polycera norvegica Sørensen, Rauch, Pola & Malaquias, 2020
Length 7.4 mm. Most frequent lengths, (69%), 5 mm to 7.9 mm, max. 16 mm, in 32 measured in Korshunova et al. (2021).
Yellow/orange blotches like many P. quadrilineata. In this image the anterior blotch (1) on the lateral row of blotches marking the mantle edge is elongate and easily mistaken for a process on the anterior veil.
Anterior veil (2) has 4 elongate processes (mean of 4 or 5, maximum 6). No elongate papillae protrude from base (3) of rhinophores.
9 lamellae on rhinophore (4) (mean 8, maximum 11).
Single yellow tipped process either side of gills.
Oral rib becomes an un-tapered rounded structure (5) when the mouth is pushed forward (caution, feature observed on this single specimen).
