August 2013 juveniles from Menai Strait, Wales.
1: subadult from early spawn c. January. Height (2) 3.5 mm. Spire (3) 30% of shell height.
4 H. 2.3 mm; 5 H. 2.1 mm and 6 H. 1.6 mm, juveniles from later spawn. Spires protrude very little, or not at all, above aperture.
7: everted spout on females. 8: rounded aperture base on male (or female too young to have developed spout).
9: parietal lip is a whitish glaze on the body whorl.
Apertures of juveniles occupy 50%, or a little more, of the apertural view.
