Low shell (1), H/L 34% not diagnostic as also occurs in P. vulgata. Features such as sculpture, aperture outline and centrality of apex vary and overlap with those of some P. vulgata. Amphora area (2) generally grey with yellow border, no distinct silver-grey vertex patch, but P. depressa often has excavated area near vertex (3). Opaque chalky white pallial tentacles (4).
