Lengths 12 mm & 14.5 mm. North Yorkshire. September 2014. (leg. Paula Lightfoot).
Heads on right of image. Distinct backward pointing beak on valves ii –vii.
Girdle appears to take up 50% of width of shell, but, as girdle nearer lens of camera, affected by perspective. (Jones and Baxter state 20-30%; probably measured following side slope).
Vibrant colours as alive and in good condition. Thin pale bands on girdle are roughly in line with shell sutures; bands very fragmentary on lower specimen.
