Disarticulated valves, ventral surface. Length of live animal 16 mm. Thick inner layer of shell (articulamentum) peripherally whitish around central gold tinted area.
1: single slit on insertion plate (extension of articulamentum) of intermediate valve.
2: apophysis (extension of articulamentum) on anterior edge; relatively small and gently curved on valves iv-viii; more strongly curved on valves ii & iii. (pl. apoyphyses)
3: nine slits and slit rays on head valve (i) (usual range seven to eleven).
