L. asellus 9.3 mm long, Valves whitish, stained by rust coloured mineral deposits except on most recent white growth at ends of valves (1).
Whitish girdle (2) has no pattern, but stained with rust coloured ferrous deposits almost entirely on dorsal surface (3).
