33 Acanthochitona fascicularis

Length 26 mm. Dorset, England. April 2017.
The foot is an elongate ellipse with no medial dividing line. The sole is usually some shade of yellow or buff, occasionally salmon pink.
The mantle-fold (1) and expanded foot (2) conceal and convert the mantle cavity from a groove to a closed respiratory tube containing the gills.
Faecal pellets are carried from the anus by the exhalent water current of the pallial cavity to be expelled from a channel formed by a slight raising of the girdle (3) at the posterior. Faecal pellet (4) trapped under adjacent hyponotum.
