02 Adalaria proxima

Ample mantle covers whole body. A white mantle with dull yellowish-white rhinophores, is the most usual form in northern Britain. Further south, but not south of the Bristol Channel where the species is absent, yellowish individuals are more frequent . Yellow ovotestes are visible through the translucent mantle of mature specimens. 12 mm long. Outer Hebrides, Scotland, April 2018, Leg. D. McKay & S.Taylor.
