03 Berthella plumula. North Wales.

Specimen with flat-topped dome profile. A large, transparent, central area reveals the shell and viscera below; resembles the exhalent opening of Oscarella sponge. Reticulating lines enclose apparently impressed, translucent areas, and resemble lobules of Oscarella. Short, stout enrolled rhinophores (1) project forwards, diverging at about 45° from between the anterior edge of mantle (2) and the oral veil (3). A small part of the foot extends beyond the mantle (4).
