1: the mantle has many small, slightly-round topped, spiculose tubercles.
2: anterior of rhinophore. Apex truncated. Translucent pale, as ground colour of mantle, with up to nine widely spaced, oblique lamellae which often have dark pigment.
3: proximal side of right rhinophore. At base of rhinophore, there are three or four large splayed tubercles; they (apart from some apical brown pigment) and a smooth patch behind the rhinophore are distinctly lighter, or sometimes darker, than the adjacent mantle.
4: gill plumes are simply pinnate.
