07 Coryphella verrucosa verrucosa

Image and description from original description of Coryphella verrucosa (Sars, 1829) [As Eolidia verrucosa]
The cerata on C. v. verrucosa are stout and cylindrical with a slightly narrower base and an obtuse tip (1). They are barely as long as half the width of the body and are held erect and packed densely together. They are attached along either side of the body, but it looks as if the whole back is occupied by them. They are so packed together that it is not possible to discern an arrangement of groups or lines.
