08 Ancula gibbosa

Lateral (1), anterior (2) and posterior (3) views of rhinophores. Lamellae are widely divided on the anterior and meet forming a ‘V’ on the posterior.
The translucent, swollen, smooth base (4) has two forward-pointing, long, finely tapered, pallial processes (5). The blunt apex protruding above the lamellae is tilted forwards (6).
The yellow or orange pigment is sometimes absent from the rhinophores and pallial processes.
