© M.W. Storey (stacked image). The shell is a swollen “bubble”, H. 10.4 mm, W. 10.0 mm, with many fine prosocline growth lines. The spire is wound round a central cavity (1) instead of a solid columella. This specimen has a spire which protrudes beyond the body whorl (2) and an aperture shorter (3) than the shell’s height. Strandline shell with periostracum lost so less glossy than fresh shells. Subsutural slit (4). Fleet lagoon, Dorset. April 2012.
