The shell is a swollen “bubble”, H. 31 mm, with many fine prosocline growth lines and close-set, wavy, microscopic, spiral striae (magnified in inset). The spire is wound round a central cavity (1) instead of a solid columella. This specimen has a spire which is almost flush with the body whorl (2) and an aperture almost as long (3) as the shell’s height. Live taken shell with glossy periostracum. Subsutural slit (4).
