Hermaea cantabra Elongate cerata are spaced apart in a single series of mixed large and small ones on either side of the notum. Branches of digestive gland in cerata are not ramified and forked (1).
Diagnostic thin red lines run a) down the posterior of each rhinophore (2) and between the eyes to the first ceras (3), b) down the distal edge of the rhinophore-slit (4), bifurcating at the rhinophore base (5) to send a short branch to the anterior of the head (6) and a lateral line (7) half the length of the body and c) along the dorsal edge of the foot (8) for its full length. Longer apical point on rhinophore is slightly curved (9).
