19 Lamellaria latens COMPARISON juvenile Trivia arctica

Maximum length when live 12 mm (excluding protruding foot and tentacles). Mantle lobes not fused; often withdrawn to expose juvenile white shell. If fully expanded, a dorsal break line is present, but sometimes not visible in photographs, such as this.
Dorsal surface of mantle lobes often with stalk-like papillae that may branch terminally, occasionally much more substantial as in this image.
Dorsally, the mantle lobes are usually whitish/yellowish; this specimen is unusually orange-brown.
Live animal is spheroid with a respiratory siphon.
