19 Limapontia depressa.

Radula with fused single teeth, bent and broken releasing an individual tooth (1). It is adapted to only slitting and cutting, which restricts L. depressa to suctorial feeding. The leading tooth is used to puncture algal cell walls whereas the newer, unused teeth function as a spear shaft. All worn out older teeth are retained in an ascus sac (Thompson, 1976). © K. Jensen.
