01 Cingula trifasciata

Vacant shell photographed in air. Solid, long, gradually tapering, conical spire with small blunt apex. Body whorl 57% of shell height. Spire-whorls only slightly rounded, so almost straight-sided profile. Aperture 35% of shell height; oval with acute adapical angle. No umbilicus.Height 3.8 mm. In silt between rock strata at MHWS, Orkney. June 1973.
