Body whorl 92% of height (1). Spire 36% of height (2). Male with rounded aperture, 63% of height, and no spout. Palatal (outer) lip (3) turns and continues up the abapertural side (4) of the columellar groove. Deep suture (5). White shell exposed where periostracum lost (6). Aperture occupies less than 50% of the apertural view.
Adult shell of extreme maximum height, 6 mm, from Orkney, northern Scotland, March 1976; shells from northern localities may be larger than southern specimens.
