1: wide, smoothly curved, anterior edge of foot. 2 & 3: anterior and posterior cephalic lobes un-extended and lying flat against each other. 4: fissure between cephalic lobes leading to mouth and eyes at their base. 5: mantle edge. 6: surface of extended mantle on left pitted with mouths of a compound gland which discharges small, white, spirally coiled, toxic threads when irritated.
