09 Acteon tornatilis 

A. tornatilis is supported on soft sand by its foot (1) widely spread like a snow-shoe, and it is propelled by cilia on the sole. Anterior (2) and posterior (3) cephalic lobes held like a snowplough. Pallial tentacle (4) attached to a compound gland in mantle which discharges toxic threads when irritated. Propodial tentacle (5). Mantle extended from the shell behind the cephalic lobes (6).
