09 Cingula trifasciata

Tiny pallial tentacle in adapical angle of aperture (1). Penis (2) behind head curves back into mantle cavity. Tip of white ctenidium (3) with a few large filaments visible in aperture above head. Upper and lower layers of bilaminate foot widely separated; opening of anterior pedal gland producing mucus to aid locomotion is positioned between them. Height 4.1 mm. HWS under rock lightly embedded in silt and shaded by overhanging trees. Menai Strait, Wales. June 2013.
