13 Emarginula fissura COMPARE Diodora graeca

Female Diodora graeca. Shell and mantle removed. Length 16. 4 mm. W. Anglesey, Wales. March 2014.
Diodora graeca and E. fissura are both in the order Lepetellida and share many features. Some are more easily seen in this dissection of the larger more colourful D. graeca.
1 short rectum. 2 style sac region of stomach. 3 left ctenidium. 4 ova spilling from rupture in ovary. 5 kidney. 6 ova in female gonad (ovary). 7 severed white shell-muscle. 8 outer mantle fold with dark scallop marks where it fitted crenate shell-edge. 9 mantle tentacle. 10 digestive gland.
