The snout is usually pigmented darkest laterally, but the difference from the dorsum is lost on the darkest-overall specimens such as this.
A bulge at the base of each tentacle bears a black eye with a variably sized, opaque, white, dorsal patch behind it. The foot is translucent white with some opaque white spots and, dorsally, pale-brown shading. Shell height 9.2mm. Orkney, Scotland. May 2017. Leg. S. Taylor.
