Beached specimen ground open to reveal interior of spire. Porcelaneous white interior. The siphonal canal remains as a deep groove on the spiral columella for its entire length to the apex of the shell.

1: thinnest point of shell immediately below protoconch; favoured point for boring by predatory Euspira spp. See fig. 42 Tritia reticulata .
