Spirally ribbed, depressed, globose shell. Distinct umbilicus, no longitudinal slit or ‘chink’. Shell cream, orange or pink with no iridescence externally, but with blue-green refraction within aperture. Rare in Britain, only north coast Scotland, Orkney and Shetland.
