Radulae straightened after removal of radular sac with 10% solution NaOH.
Like other limpets, and some sea snails, that graze rock surfaces, T. testudinalis has a radula considerably longer than its shell.
Left: 12.1mm long shell with radula 140% as long.
Right: 13.9mm long shell with radula 128% as long.
