Marsenia perspicua nine egg capsules.

1: transparent compound ascidian, diameter c. 30 mm.

2: buff ova seen through transparent lid of recently deposited egg-capsule.

3: white ova seen through transparent lid of older expanded egg-capsule.

4: rim of capsule lid; diameter a little less than that of capsule which is visible through transparent ascidian.

5: ascidian raised around rim of lid.
