Urosalpinx cinerea has 10 to 12 low, sometimes inconspicuous (1), costal ribs and 16 to 18 spiral ridges on body-whorl. Ridges usually eroded where they cross the costae, so no protruding nodules. Sometimes spiral ridges more prominent than costae (2). Thin, crenulate palatal lip thickens and develops internal ribs (3) with age. No labial varix (4)
