1: part of inner face of of mantle which probably bears the hypobranchial gland.

4: left kidney opening/ urogenital aperture.
5: right kidney opening/ urogenital aperture.
6: gonads (inactive; in September). Colour similar in both sexes,
except February- May when ovaries green and testes pink or
