Specimen of P. depressa with diagnostic combination of black foot and chalk white pallial tentacles showing it extends to Almeira, 200 km further east into the Mediterranean than Malaga, stated by Trigo et al (2018).
Its absence further into the Mediterranean might be because the slight tidal rise and fall there does not produce a sufficient intertidal zone for this purely eulittoral species.
