Ventral view of odontophore with detached radula.
Within the buccal cavity there is a large, pink odontophore consisting of a right (1) and left (2) bolster which is covered in thick cuticle. Much of a bolster is made of strong cartilage-like material.
The hyaline shield (3) of the radula rests on the dorsum of the odontophore. The radula is created in the radular sac, starting colourless and unmineralized at the posterior (4) and becoming progressivly more strongly coloured/mineralized as it progresses to the anterior (5).
