Like other limpets and some sea snails that graze rock surfaces, P. pellucida has a long, powerful radula (1 to 1), but it is shorter than most, being about 75% the length of the shell and the same length as the body.
The powerful odontophore(2) occupies a large amount of the body; 25% of its length. There is a black mark within its anterior-half that is visible through its dorsal surface and the nearly colourless hyaline shield (3).
