1: very small columellar lip on adults.
2: white thickening and rib just within the rim of the palatal (outer) lip of adults. 3: externally, shell is usually pale yellow because of the overlying periostracum.
4: adult lip is everted.
5: short section at base of palatal lip reflected to expose some of the white inner face externally.
6: external rim of the palatal lip usually yellowish without brown pigment.
7: body whorl of shell with 4 brown spiral bands; varies 0 to 5. Some bands hidden on earlier whorls by overlapping of subsequent whorls.
