03 Tectura virginea. Shell-length 6mm. North Yorkshire. September 2014.

Live, unencrusted, translucent shell. Ground colour whitish tinted pale-blue. Pattern of light-brown tessellating chains with vivid blue spot in each link.
When on Lithothamnion, colour cryptic, and chain pattern resembles feeding pits (see image 28Tv 28 Tectura virginea. Anglesey, Wales. March 2014. ).
1: tiny white apical protoconch; original semi-spiral structure not discernible.
2: concave anterior profile with distinct break in slope probably due to change in location/conditions.
3: posterior profile slightly convex.
