04 Rissoa membranacea

Immersed, translucent, live sub-adult (left) and its dry, opaque, vacant shell (right), with no labial varix, but periphery of body whorl is smoothly rounded (1) as on mature adults. Aperture oval; slightly everted lip forms a continuous peristome around whole aperture and reflects slightly onto the body whorl in the columellar (2) and parietal areas (3).  Shell height 7.4 mm.
